The princess has given up on her "natural" childbirth attempt and decided to go with the epidural. Our hopes of a quicker labor without an epidural were lost when we only went from 2.5cm to 3.5 in 5 hours. We are now dosed with Pitocin, and fentanyl/marcaine to speed and make the labor somewhat bearable.
It hasn't worked. Labor is still slow, nausea and numbness have replaced the pain and Beth is regretting every decision that got us to this point.
Lucky for me Jean brought doughnuts. Beth is mad because she can't have any.
Finally after playing with her blood pressure and becoming a little accustomed to her epidural Beth has decided to get a little more sleep. Now the only problem is Beth continues to have conversations, mostly with herself, and we can't tell when she needs something or is just sleep talking.

Congrats! I'm glad he's finally here. Beth, you looked so tired & over being pregnant at church yesterday.
My best advice: accept any & all help or food offered at this time because having a 2nd child means a whole new adjustment to family life. :D
